No. The speech models run on your own computer. Your voice and your text stay on your PC.
No, but it helps a lot. With an NVIDIA GPU, text appears in about a second. On the CPU it works, but it is slower, especially with the large models.

The speech models are inside it, so it works offline right after install. The main installer covers Hinglish Roman and the wake word. Install the optional extra models file only if you want the Indian English or Hinglish to English modes.
The installer is new and not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC". Click "More info", then "Run anyway".

WhisperWriter is made by Devashish Tiwari (iydebu), an independent developer. The installer is a digital download. Your payment is a donation that gives you the installer; the source code stays free under the MIT license.
The software is provided "as is", without any warranty. Use it at your own risk.
If the app does not work on your PC, email me within 14 days of buying. I will try to help, and if it still does not work, I will refund you in full.
Refunds go back to the same card or account you paid with, usually within 5 to 7 working days.
The app does not collect, store or send your voice, your text or any usage data. Everything runs on your PC.
